Almost all other hardware wallets are trusted to generate your keys. The challenge of generating and verifying keys securely on your own is full of pitfalls.
Frostsnap involves your phone or laptop in sensitive operations to disrupt any possibility of device attacks; verifying key generation without giving it access to secret material.
Signing is also verified by the accompanying device, protecting against nonce-based exfil attacks.
